Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Supports the design team by creating and updating 2D drawings, 3D models, and documentation under the direction of senior engineers and designers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Create and revise 2D engineering drawings and 3D CAD models per customer and company specifications · Maintain drawing files and revisions in the File / PDM system · Generate BOM (bill of materials) & routers, update as needed in ERP system · Print, distribute, and file engineering documents per document control procedures · Support senior designers with drafting, formatting, and documentation tasks · Check drawings for completeness and standard compliance · Assist with physical part inspection and measurement when required · Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Associate degree in Drafting/Design Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience · 2+ years CAD drafting experience · Proficiency in 3D solid modeling software
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· SolidWorks experience · PDM system experience · GD&T knowledge
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
Office environment, some time spent on production floor.
