Analyze transportation and dispatch data, monitor logistics performance, and assist with improving the efficiency of freight movement. Generate reports using data analysis tools, contributing to workflow standardization and collaborate with internal teams to enhance routing, delivery performance, and overall operational productivity. Specific duties include: analyze and interpret transportation and dispatch data to improve load planning, delivery schedules, and route optimization; coordinate daily activities with dispatch and logistics personnel to ensure timely and cost-effective freight assignments; develop and maintain operational reports using Microsoft Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI; monitor transportation key performance indicators (KPIs), including on-time delivery rate, cost per mile, and equipment utilization, to support data-driven decision-making; identify inefficiencies in dispatch operations, trailer allocation, and routing, and propose corrective actions based on trend analysis; contribute to the documentation and standardization of dispatch workflows, including procedures for load assignments, routing, and communication protocols; ensure data accuracy across dispatch and transportation management systems during process changes and report generation; and collaborate with internal departments, such as fleet management, accounting, and customer service, to align transportation strategies with company goals.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business, Economics, Logistics, Data Analytics, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in transportation logistics, dispatch operations, or data analysis.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Must have experience with the following:
- Pivot tables, charts, and formulas, for logistics and operations analysis.
- Knowledge with SQL for querying structured datasets related to shipments, dispatch, and delivery performance
- Experience using data visualization or reporting tools;
- Supply chain concepts and dispatch operations
- ERP or transportation management systems
