CONTROLLER
The Controller is responsible for TCA's accounting operations, financial reporting, project accounting, billing, cash management, internal controls, and financial systems. This position ensures the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial information and provides reliable reporting to the President, CFO, and TCA leadership.
The Controller oversees the monthly and annual financial close, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, work-in-progress reporting, revenue recognition, and project financial reporting. The Controller also leads accounting staff and works closely with project managers and department leaders to strengthen financial processes, improve project profitability, and maintain effective internal controls.

Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Controller with project-based accounting, in an architecture, engineering, or other construction consulting firm required.
- Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint required.
- Understanding of architectural services financial metrics, including utilization, chargeability, multipliers, overhead, and project profitability.
- Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
- Experience managing accounting personnel and coordinating external CPA engagements.
- Experience overseeing month-end close, financial statement preparation, project accounting, billing, accounts receivable, and internal controls.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- CPA certification optional
Position Location and Hours:
The Controller will be working in our Irvine Office. We offer a hybrid schedule of working Monday - Wednesday in the office and Thursday - Friday from home.
Salary Range: $125,000 - $160,000
