RN Job Responsibilities – Day Shift As a Day Shift Registered Nurse, you'll provide skilled nursing care, coordinate resident needs, and collaborate with the nursing team to promote quality care in our skilled nursing and memory care community.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing and coordinating nursing care in accordance with resident care plans and facility policies
- Assessing residents, monitoring health conditions, and identifying changes that require intervention
- Administering medications and treatments according to physician orders and applicable nursing standards
- Communicating changes in resident condition to physicians, supervisors, and other appropriate healthcare providers
- Supervising and supporting Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) as assigned
- Ensuring accurate, timely nursing documentation and resident medical records
- Participating in care planning and coordinating with the interdisciplinary team
- Responding to resident needs, incidents, and emergencies
- Supporting admissions, discharges, and transitions of care as needed
- Promoting resident dignity, safety, comfort, and independence
- Following infection control procedures, state regulations, and facility policies
RN Qualifications We're looking for a nurse with strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a genuine commitment to resident care.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri
- Current BLS/CPR certification, as required by facility policy
- Long-term care, skilled nursing facility (SNF), or memory care experience preferred
- Strong assessment, documentation, and clinical decision-making skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to prioritize resident needs and respond appropriately to changing conditions
