Stoneham Public Schools is seeking a highly motivated, hardworking and energetic individual with an eye for detail that takes initiative and welcomes responsibility. The successful candidate is responsible for all phases of cleaning and maintenance of the facilities interior and exterior as directed by the Principal and the Director of Facilities.
The duties will include but are not limited to: daily floor care, dusting, restroom cleaning and sanitation, cleaning of fixtures and furniture, interior and exterior trash removal, window cleaning, snow removal, wash walls and equipment, sets up equipment for special events, assists school personnel with work requests, and additional tasks as necessary to ensure all facilities are maintained at a high level of cleanliness and readiness.
Qualifications:
Must be able to communicate effectively and maintain courteous customer service with students, faculty and staff.
Under the direction of the Principal and Facilities Director coordinate tasks among custodial staff including during extended breaks and summer cleaning.
Ability to follow complex written and verbal instruction without supervision
Ability to lift heavy objects minimum of 50lbs., climb ladders and work at particular heights.
Experience:
3-5 years experience in custodial operations
Must have knowledge of stripping, buffing and applying floor sealer and/or finish for hard surface floors, vacuum and shampoo carpets
Valid driver's license
Schedule: Monday-Friday, time to be determined by the superintendent’s designee.
Salary: Per the Union contract
