Responsibilities: The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for designing and architecture of new features and new components of Android platform software based on the Android Open-Source Project (AOSP). Duties include: building, integrating, and debugging system-level components such as User Interface, Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL), and vendor services; performing device bring-up, porting, and feature enablement on custom hardware platforms; developing Treble-compliant modular system/vendor separation; optimizing device performance, stability, and security; writing and enforcing SELinux policies; debugging complex multi-process interactions across system services; analyzing logs, resolving ANRs, memory leaks, and concurrency issues in framework and native layers; collaborating with ODM partners to integrate proprietary drivers, firmware, and vendor blobs; contributing to enterprise-focused Android customizations, including Desktop Mode, notification system enhancements, and device management APIs; and other duties as assigned. Employee may be stationed anywhere in the continental U.S., but will report to Spectralink headquarters in Louisville, Colorado. Range $120,000 - $150,000. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer and Information Technology, or related field (or foreign equivalent). Experience: 12 months of experience in the job offered or related position. Special Requirements: 12 months of experience programming in Java, Kotlin, C, C++, AOSP Framework APIs, or similar programming languages and frameworks; 12 months of experience building software in Soong, Make, Gradle, Gerrit, Jenkins, Git, and Repo, or similar build management systems; 12 months of experience developing software for the AOSP and within Android frameworks; and 12 months of experience debugging and integrating with tools like ADB, Logcat, cross-compilation, and kernel patching.
