Location: Apple Creek, OH Pay: $25–$35/hour, plus per diem and travel for qualified travelers Duration: 6 weeks Schedule: 40+ hours per week Job Type: Contract Skillforce is currently hiring experienced Machine Operators for a 6-week manufacturing project in Apple Creek, OH. The ideal candidate will have experience operating manufacturing equipment, monitoring production processes, inspecting finished products, and maintaining quality and safety standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Machine Operator Responsibilities
- Set up and operate manufacturing machinery and equipment according to production requirements and work instructions.
- Load and unload materials, position workpieces, and ensure proper machine operation.
- Monitor machine performance and make basic adjustments as needed to maintain production efficiency and quality.
- Inspect finished products to verify accuracy, dimensions, and compliance with quality standards.
- Use measuring tools and inspection equipment to check product specifications and identify defects.
- Identify machine malfunctions, production issues, and potential equipment problems.
- Perform routine machine checks and assist with basic troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Follow production schedules and maintain accurate production records as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety procedures.
Machine Operator Qualifications
- Previous experience operating machinery in a manufacturing, industrial, or machine shop environment.
- Ability to follow work instructions, production specifications, and quality control procedures.
- Familiarity with measuring tools and inspecting finished products for accuracy and quality.
- Basic understanding of machine operation, equipment adjustments, and troubleshooting.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality products.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Available Shifts
- 1st Shift: 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM
- 2nd Shift: 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM
- 3rd Shift: 10:30 PM – 6:30 AM
Travel & Per Diem
- $181 per day in per diem ($1,267 per week), paid for all days while traveling.
- Travelers are compensated at their regular hourly rate for hours worked.
- Personal vehicle travel reimbursed at $0.76 per mile.
- Airfare provided for air travelers, with rental car and fuel reimbursement.
