JOB REQUIREMENTS: Project Manager - Solid Waste Location US-WI-Madison Category Experienced Engineer - Professional and/or Project Management Position Type Full Time Regular What we are looking for We are seeking a Project Manager to help us support and expand our solid waste and environmental engineering practice. You will lead engineering, environmental, and consulting projects in the coal-fired power, industrial, and municipal solid waste sectors. This role will involve managing multidisciplinary engineering projects associated with solid waste management facilities. We will value both your ability to mentor your internal team members and your active participation in client and business development. The successful candidate will collaborate with clients and our engineers, scientists, and support staff to deliver projects associated with design, construction, environmental monitoring, remediation, and permitting of solid waste facilities. This position provides a strong pathway to technical leadership, client management, and business development with a rapidly growing and successful company. You may work hybrid out of our Madison office. Remote work may be considered for the ideal candidate. How you can make an impact Project Management * Manage engineering projects from conceptual planning through design, permitting, bidding, and construction support. * Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, and project teams. * Coordinate multidisciplinary staff including civil, geotechnical, environmental, and construction professionals. * Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, regulatory agencies, and contractors. * Participate in client development Team Leadership * Mentor junior engineers and technical staff. * Support staff development, training, and project execution. Engineering & Technical Responsibilities * Lead engineering design and analysis for solid waste projects, including: o Groundwater remediation systems o Landfill cells, expansions, and closures. o Leachate collection systems o Landfill gas collection and control systems o Storm water management systems o Grading and site development plans o Transfer station permit modifications * Prepare and review: o Engineering calculations o Technical reports o Permit applications o Construction drawings and specifications o Cost estimates and engineering studies * Perform coordination and provide support during construction and...
