Executive Opportunity: President – A well-established, Maryland–based small business is seeking an accomplished executive to serve as its next President.
For more than 30 years, our company has successfully supported the United States Government, providing trusted services to a wide range of Department of Defense organizations and other federal agencies. The company is entering an important period of growth and transformation. While continuing to strengthen its established government-contracting business, the organization plans to diversify and pursue opportunities in new markets, including manufacturing and maritime services, such as ship building and ship repair.
The President will provide the strategic and operational leadership necessary to guide this transition and position the company for sustainable growth. This executive will be expected to evaluate new markets, develop practical growth strategies, build the necessary organizational capabilities, and convert opportunities into profitable lines of business.
We are seeking a hands-on, entrepreneurial leader who can strengthen internal operations, develop high-performing teams, cultivate customer and industry relationships, and expand the company’s presence across the federal marketplace and adjacent commercial sectors.

- Demonstrated executive leadership and strong management skills.
- A successful background in business development, capture, and organic growth.
- Experience evaluating and entering new markets or developing new service lines.
- The ability to translate strategic opportunities into executable business plans.
- Knowledge of federal government contracting, preferably within the defense sector.
- Experience in manufacturing, maritime services, or related industries is highly desirable.
- Strong financial, operational, and commercial judgment.
- Experience developing teams and organizational capabilities in a small-business environment.
- A record of building lasting relationships with government customers, industry partners, and employees.
- A leadership style grounded in integrity, accountability, collaboration, and mission focus.
