The Role The Production Employee verifies and packages products correctly to help meet customer requirements and departmental performance goals. This position reports to the Production Supervisor and performs packing, product verification, material handling, and related production duties as assigned. The role requires a strong work ethic, responsibility, energy, and the ability to work safely in a refrigerated production environment. This is a union role. What You’ll Work On The essential job functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Inspect packages and identify defective packaging.
• Perform production duties, including packing and manual lifting.
• Verify that products are sealed, display the correct Smart Date label, and are packaged correctly.
• Stack boxes on pallets according to size, weight, and fragility.
• Securely stretch-wrap pallets to protect product integrity.
• Move products and inventory using a hand jack.
• Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the Production Supervisor.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
• Perform related duties as required by supervision and move to other lines as workload requires.
• Comply with all company and federal policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Work toward achieving departmental KPIs.

What You Bring Must-Haves

• Ability to stand for long periods of time and perform repetitive motions.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and frequently bend, stoop, squat, push, and pull parts or containers.
• Ability to work in a refrigerated environment of up to 36 degrees.

Nice-To-Haves

• Experience performing packing, manual lifting, or related production duties.
• Experience moving products or inventory using a hand jack.

• Hourly Rate: The expected compensation for this role is $18 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be discussed during the interview process.

Work Environment This is an on-site production position in a refrigerated facility. In this role, you will work in temperatures of approximately 32–36 degrees and may stand for long periods, perform repetitive motions, lift up to 60 pounds, and frequently bend, stoop, squat, push, and pull parts or containers.
