Competitive Weekly Pay Period The Mechanical Engineer Intern supports the development of new and sustaining products by assisting in design, prototyping, testing, and documentation. The engineer works closely with senior-level engineers to actively learn about products and grow through experience and mentorship. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following: Product Support: Assist in the design and development of mechanical systems for current and pre-production projects and products. Contribute to product development efforts by supporting prototyping and testing new technologies. Simulation & Technical Analysis: Create and modify 3D models, schematic engineering drawings, and utilize CAD software. Apply basic programming and tool usage to support model creation and documentation. Design & Documentation: Perform basic engineering calculations and simulations using FEA tools to support design validation and performance analysis. Document findings and analysis. Basic knowledge of GD&T principles and their application to engineering drawings. Research & Technology: Participate in building and testing mechanical prototypes.
