We are looking for an EHR Workflow Analyst to support healthcare operations through the analysis, design, and improvement of automation-driven workflows in Greenville, South Carolina. This Long-term Contract position will work closely with clinical, administrative, and business teams to turn operational needs into well-defined process documentation and scalable automation solutions. The role is ideal for a business analyst who can bridge healthcare workflows, electronic health record processes, and automation initiatives while maintaining accuracy, quality, and strong stakeholder collaboration.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead discovery meetings with clinical, operational, and administrative teams to uncover workflow inefficiencies and identify opportunities for automation.
  • Gather operational needs from stakeholders and convert them into clear business requirements, process diagrams, and supporting documentation.
  • Develop detailed workflow designs and use-case documentation to guide automation partners and technical teams during implementation.
  • Collaborate with teams involved in revenue cycle activities, payer relationships, credentialing, clinical administration, compliance, and shared services to align workflow solutions with business objectives.
  • Support test planning, validation efforts, and quality reviews to ensure automated processes perform reliably and meet expected outcomes.
  • Investigate process exceptions, defects, and workflow gaps, then coordinate corrective actions and enhancements with internal teams and external partners.
  • Track automation effectiveness after deployment and recommend refinements based on user feedback, operational results, and changing business priorities.
  • Maintain organized records of workflow updates, testing outcomes, implementation standards, and other project-related materials.
  • Contribute to rollout readiness, user adoption efforts, and change support activities tied to new automation workflows.
  • Assist leadership in assessing and prioritizing future workflow automation and operational improvement opportunities.
  • At least 5 years of experience in healthcare operations such as revenue cycle management, payer contracting, provider credentialing, or clinical administration.
  • Proven ability to analyze, document, and improve business processes in complex healthcare environments.
  • Experience supporting automation programs, workflow optimization projects, system implementations, or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Working knowledge of EHR or EMR systems and how they interact with clinical and operational workflows.
  • Strong skills in workflow analysis, process mapping, and creating clear business and functional documentation.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities accurately in a fast-paced setting.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and sound judgment when evaluating workflow issues and recommending practical solutions.
