If you have experience handling vendor invoices, subcontractor payments, job cost coding, and construction-related documentation, this role offers the chance to make an immediate impact while building your accounting career.
What You’ll Do
- Process vendor and subcontractor invoices with a high level of accuracy
- Match invoices to purchase orders, receiving documents, and contracts
- Verify coding to jobs, cost codes, and general ledger accounts
- Prepare weekly check runs, ACH payments, and other disbursements
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Maintain organized and complete accounts payable records and documentation
- Assist with month-end close, reporting, and account reconciliations
- Help track lien waivers, W-9s, certificates of insurance, and other compliance documents
- Partner with project managers and internal teams to support payment workflows
- Communicate professionally with vendors regarding payment questions and account issues
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in accounts payable, preferably within the construction industry
- Understanding of job cost coding, subcontractor invoicing, and high-volume invoice processing
- Familiarity with construction accounting processes, including lien waivers and vendor documentation
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong organizational skills and close attention to detail
- Ability to manage deadlines and shift priorities in a fast-moving environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
