FLSA Status: Hourly Non-Exempt
Job Summary
At Richelieu Foods we make Great Food from Great People. We are looking for a 1st Shift Material Handler:
Essential Functions
- Transport all needed supplies correctly and on time to required line or pre-batch area.
- Communicate with operations to determine proper quantities and placement of items needed
- Responsible for complying with Good Manufacturing Practices, maintaining proper sanitation and housekeeping in area.
- Properly put away materials
- Communicate and coordinate with other Material Handlers to ensure efficient operation of the department
- Inform proper departments or supervisors of any issues or concerns
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
- Load and unload trailers safely
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1 Year of stand-up forklift experience
- The ability to read and understand production's schedule
- Outstanding attendance record
- Experience with RF scanners
- Cycle count experience
- Comfortable working in a cold & Hot environment
- Experience working in a warehouse environment
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

Working Conditions
- Standard Manufacturing environment with frequent exposure to hot/cold temperatures, moving mechanical parts and power industrial trucks.
- Requires 100% onsite attendance to perform the essential functions of the role.
- The schedule for this role is typically Monday through Saturday, 10-hour shifts.

Pay and Benefits
The following information is provided in accordance with applicable state and local laws. Compensation is based on experience, geographic locations, and other legally permitted factors. The starting hourly rate is $22.00. This position may also be eligible for overtime pay.
