Job Description
Revels Contracting Services is hiring an experienced Traveling Construction Foreman to lead commercial renovation projects in hospitals, medical imaging centers, and other healthcare facilities throughout the Southeast. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who knows commercial construction, can lead a small crew, and takes pride in getting the job done right. You will travel during the week and return home on weekends. A company vehicle is provided, and travel expenses are covered. Experience in healthcare construction or medical imaging renovations is a plus, but we are also interested in experienced commercial construction foremen who are willing to learn this specialized industry. What You'll Do
- Lead and work alongside a small construction crew on healthcare renovation projects.
- Coordinate daily activities, assign tasks, and keep projects moving on schedule.
- Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and project specifications.
- Coordinate subcontractors, materials, equipment, and job site activities.
- Work with project managers to communicate progress, address problems, and meet deadlines.
- Monitor workmanship to ensure projects meet quality and safety standards.
- Conduct job site safety meetings and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Maintain daily reports, project documentation, and material records.
- Communicate professionally with hospital personnel, customers, and other contractors.
- Identify and resolve job site issues to keep projects on track.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Construction Foreman, Lead Carpenter, Construction Crew Leader, or similar supervisory role in commercial construction.
- Strong hands-on construction skills and knowledge of commercial remodeling and renovation.
- Experience supervising crews and coordinating subcontractors.
- Ability to read and understand construction blueprints and drawings.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions on the job site.
- Commitment to job site safety and quality workmanship.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical construction work.
- Ability and willingness to travel Monday through Friday, returning home on weekends.
Preferred but Not Required:
- Healthcare construction or hospital renovation experience.
- Medical imaging room renovation or equipment installation experience.
- Experience working in occupied commercial or healthcare facilities.
- Familiarity with construction reporting or project management software.
