Sr Software Engineer - .NET

job summary:

Our West Michigan Client is looking for a contract Software Engineer for a long term project. This is a remote role for those living in EST or CST time zones. Ideal candidates will be passionate about incorporating AI into their work.

responsibilities:

• Designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software programming applications.
• Supports and/or installs software applications/operating systems.
• Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software, creating unit tests within our .NET applications.
• Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Performing analysis of existing solutions to understand how to satisfy business needs.
• Ability to work with independence.
• Developing clean, efficient, and maintainable code for applications using SQL, C#, JavaScript and Microsoft Azure resources.
• Continual learning, including adoption of relevant AI tools, such as GitHub Copilot, to maximize efficiency, quality and productivity.
• Documenting all changes made and presenting enhanced functionality to our support team.

qualifications:

5+ years of .NET experience

Experience with SQL, C#, JavaScript and Microsoft Azure resources.

Experience with Unit Testing

Experience working with GitHub Copilot
