Senior Software Engineer, Customer Studio Backend

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join a product-focused backend team building a no-code platform that helps customers activate data directly from their data warehouses. You will shape a rapidly growing product area, with opportunities to make a meaningful impact on its architecture and customer experience.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Design and build reliable, scalable backend systems for customer-facing data activation workflows.
• Improve data warehouse performance through query optimization, precomputed state, and warehouse-specific enhancements.
• Develop analytics and experimentation capabilities that help customers build audiences and measure downstream outcomes.
• Explore real-time audience computation and syncing as data warehouses adopt change data capture and other real-time technologies.
• Investigate ways generative AI can make customer workflows more seamless.
• Contribute to product specifications, engage with customer feedback, and help guide technical architecture.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Typically 6 to 15 years of backend engineering experience, including designing and building systems at high-growth startups.
• Senior-level experience and a record of growing responsibilities and impact.
• Strong backend and distributed systems skills, with sound systems design fundamentals and experience using modern technologies.
• A product-minded approach, including willingness to speak with users and iterate based on feedback.
• Clear communication skills, curiosity, and the ability to learn quickly and take on complex challenges.
• A degree in computer science, mathematics, or electrical engineering, or equivalent strong technical fundamentals.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Base salary is $180,000 to $320,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
