responsibilities:
- Direct daily plant operations and supervise personnel to ensure safe, reliable, and environmentally compliant power generation.
- Manage operational budgets, control expenditures, and align resources to support production and reliability goals.
- Evaluate the performance of boilers, steam turbines, generators, and emissions control systems to improve facility efficiency.
- Collaborate with Maintenance and Engineering to prioritize equipment repairs, coordinate outages, and support predictive maintenance.
- Lead operator training, qualifications, and performance evaluations to strengthen technical capabilities across the team.
qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline preferred, or equivalent power generation, industrial, or military experience.
Required supervisory or management experience in power plant operations, preferably in biomass or solid-fuel facilities.
Strong working knowledge of power plant systems, emissions regulations, budgeting, and data analysis tools like CMMS.
