We are looking for a energetic, reliable Material Handler to join our team in Hauppauge, NY. In this role, you will play a key part in processing international and domestic mail, parcels, and e-commerce packages. You will be responsible for moving freight safely through the warehouse, loading and unloading shipments, and sorting packages so they reach their destinations on time. Responsibilities
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing freight trucks using pallet jacks, rolling carts, or manual lifting.
- Sort parcels, mail, and packages by mail code, country, or zip code, placing them into proper bins, mail bags, or gaylords.
- Use handheld barcode scanners to track package movement and apply shipping labels accurately.
- Transport staged materials across the warehouse floor safely to maintain continuous workflow at sorting lines and packing bays.
- Secure packages onto wooden pallets and use stretch wrap machines or hand wrap to bundle shipments for freight transport.
- Keep work areas, staging zones, and aisles clean and free of debris; follow all OSHA and Asendia facility safety rules.
