This remote contractor role is open only to applicants who reside in the United States and are legally eligible to provide services in the United States.
About Quiktrak Quiktrak provides floor plan audit and asset-verification services for banks, captive finance companies, independent lenders, and dealer networks across industries such as powersports, marine, recreational vehicles, transportation, and construction equipment.
Our Checks platform is changing how client audit programs are configured, implemented, validated, and supported. The Business Analyst works at the intersection of client needs, operational realities, system behavior, and product decisions.
About the Role Quiktrak is seeking a Business Analyst to turn business, client, and operational needs into clear configuration decisions, testable system requirements, and reliable solutions in Checks and related Quiktrak systems.
You must be able to schedule work and meetings across Quiktrak's national business window, generally between 6:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time (9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time), depending on team and client needs. Continuous availability across the full window is not expected, but reliable overlap with both Eastern and Pacific business hours is required.
During client onboarding and migration, your primary output will be the Validation Menu: the decision record that captures Quiktrak's recommendations, selected options, configuration choices, non-workflow requirements, open items, dependencies, and follow-up. You will keep that record current as decisions move through configuration, testing, and implementation.
This is a judgment-intensive role, not a note-taking position. You will diagnose needs, recommend supportable options, surface ambiguity before it becomes rework, troubleshoot complex issues, validate delivered solutions, and use evidence to improve both products and implementation practices.
How the Role Fits the Implementation Team You will work alongside an Implementation Analyst. The Implementation Analyst owns documentation of a client's audit workflows in the Checks platform. You will own the Validation Menu, non-workflow requirements and configuration analysis, acceptance criteria, integrated validation, and the Business Analyst workstream.
You should be able to understand and review workflow logic, identify gaps between approved decisions and the build, and complete a contained workflow task with review when needed. Workflow development is a secondary capability, not the primary purpose of the role.
What You Will Do Own Validation Menus and Requirements
- Evaluate applicable features and non-workflow requirements for assigned onboardings and migrations.
- Develop the standard or best-fit recommendation, capture the selected client or internal decision, and document status, notes, comments, dependencies, owners, and open items.
- Classify custom needs as configuration, development, data exchange, workflow, training, process, or another owned workstream.
- Keep the Validation Menu current through approvals, configuration, testing, and material scope changes.
Define Supportable System Solutions
- Translate approved decisions into clear configuration specifications, technical tasks, acceptance criteria, and maintainable system settings.
- Configure or coordinate settings, reports, permissions, visibility, integrations, data exchange, and related system functions.
- Identify conflicting inputs, downstream effects, risks, and missing decisions before configuration or development begins.
- Balance client needs with platform standards, scalability, operational impact, future maintenance, and supportability.
Provide Tier 2 Technical Analysis
- Analyze escalated technical issues using reproducible evidence, affected users or processes, severity, and expected behavior.
- Distinguish root causes from symptoms and separate defects, configuration issues, support needs, data problems, and new functionality.
- Coordinate the correct resolution path across configuration, development, data correction, vendors, or another internal owner.
- Document status, decisions, ownership, prevention, and follow-up when recurrence risk is material. Partner on Implementations and Workflows
- Own the Business Analyst workstream for onboarding, migrations, requests, and releases without assuming ownership of the project plan.
- Provide the Implementation Analyst with approved non-workflow decisions, business context, acceptance criteria, and interface considerations needed to document and configure the client's audit workflows in Checks.
- Review the Implementation Analyst's workflow documentation and configured workflows for alignment with approved business decisions, and raise gaps, conflicts, or downstream impacts.
- Develop enough Checks workflow fluency to provide contained secondary support with review when business needs or capacity require it.
Validate Outcomes and Improve the System
- Review completed configuration and development against approved requirements and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production verification.
- Document differences between expected and actual behavior, retest corrections, and recommend whether to release, correct, defer, or escalate.
- Use operational evidence, recurring issue patterns, system data, structured query language (SQL), Excel, Microsoft Power BI (business intelligence), or other appropriate sources to identify improvement opportunities and turn recurring issues into reusable standards, product recommendations, or process improvements.
Communicate and Coordinate Clearly
- Explain system capabilities, limitations, configuration choices, risks, and technical issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Make known decisions, open questions, available options, tradeoffs, and ownership visible to the delivery team.
- Participate in client discovery and recommendation meetings, prepare technical analysis and recommendations, and document decisions and follow-up. Coordinate client-facing technical discussions with the Client Services and Project Management teams rather than taking over relationship or project ownership. Provide accurate source information, demonstrations, and subject-matter review to Learning and Development (L&D), which owns formal training.
What Success Looks Like
First 30 days
You understand Quiktrak's implementation model, Checks, Revoquest (Quiktrak's legacy platform) during the transition, the Validation Menu, and the ownership boundary between the Business Analyst and Implementation Analyst. You participate in client discovery and recommendation meetings with guidance, identify the highest-risk unknowns in assigned work, and document decisions and follow-up.
By 60 days
You have completed your first Validation Menu with focused review and are producing useful, traceable configuration or escalation analysis that others can act on. You contribute prepared analysis and technical input during client discovery and recommendation meetings.
By 90 days
You can independently produce a decision-ready Validation Menu for a contained onboarding or migration, define acceptance criteria, surface dependencies, and review the Implementation Analyst's workflow documentation and configured workflows for alignment. You participate effectively in client-facing discovery and recommendation meetings, explaining options and providing technical input within the Business Analyst workstream.
By 6 months
You independently own a representative Business Analyst workstream from approved decisions through configuration, validation, and handoff. You can manage representative Tier 2 issues, complete one contained secondary workflow task with review, and lead assigned portions of client discovery or recommendation meetings with appropriate support.
