What You'll Do
• Design and deliver an engaging curriculum that promotes cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development, all while adhering to the New York State's Next Generation Learning Standards.
• Build a vibrant and supportive classroom community where every child feels safe, respected, and excited to learn.
• Implement data-driven instruction using insights from various educational software to personalize learning and foster student growth.
• Utilize your expertise in the Science of Reading to develop foundational literacy skills.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and students to create a seamless and enriching educational experience for everyone.
• Create a dynamic learning environment by using differentiated instruction across all subject areas to meet the unique needs of each student.
• Observe and assess student progress, communicating regularly with parents to celebrate successes and discuss development.
What We're Looking For
• A valid New York State Professional/Initial Teacher License.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Elementary Childhood Education or a related field.
• Experience teaching elementary grade students.
• Proven knowledge and application of the Science of Reading and New York State’s Next Generation Learning Standards.
• Proficiency with educational software and using data to inform classroom instruction.
• A strong foundation in classroom management and experience with differentiated instruction.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
