Original job description

Pediatric Occupational Therapist – Center-Based & Home Visits : Los Angeles County, CA

If you chose occupational therapy because you wanted to make a real difference in the lives of children and families - this is the role you've been looking for. We are a multidisciplinary pediatric therapy practice with a mission that goes beyond clinical outcomes. We believe in encouraging children with disabilities to reach their highest potential within their natural environment, empowering families with the knowledge and confidence to advocate for their children, and improving quality of life through compassionate, culturally-sensitive, family-centered care. This isn't just a mission statement on a wall. It's the foundation every clinical decision is built on.

The Role You'll provide occupational therapy services in both center-based and home visit settings, giving you the opportunity to meet children and families where they are - literally and figuratively. Your caseload will span a range of pediatric conditions with treatment focused on sensory integration, feeding, and self-help and functional life skills. You'll collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team and work in genuine partnership with families as active participants in their child's care.

Who You Are You're a licensed Occupational Therapist with a passion for pediatrics and a heart for working with children who have disabilities and the families who love them. You bring cultural sensitivity, strong communication skills, and the ability to build trust with families navigating what can be a challenging and emotional journey. Experience in sensory integration or feeding therapy is a plus. A collaborative spirit and genuine commitment to family-centered care are essential.

Why This Practice Pediatric OT in a multidisciplinary setting means you'll never feel isolated in your work. You'll have colleagues across disciplines to collaborate with, families who are deeply invested in their children's progress, and the unique reward that comes from watching a child achieve something they couldn't do before. Center-based and home visit work means variety in your day and the opportunity to truly understand each child's natural environment. This is meaningful work done alongside people who take it seriously. If that resonates with you, we'd love to connect.
