PrideStaff on behalf of a distribution warehouse in Oakland Park is seeking a self-motivated individual with the initiative, to join their production team as a Warehouse Associate and work in their dynamic and fast-paced environment.
DELIVERABLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for shipping outgoing materials, parts, or products
- Pick and pack customer orders accurately in preparation for shipment
- Monitor shipments to ensure customer requirements are met
- Handle questions, concerns or issues regarding shipments
- Records shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability
- Determine method of shipment utilization (ie. Shipping procedures, routes, rates, etc.
- Prepare materials for shipping by weighing, packaging and preparing necessary shipping forms (i.e. bills of lading).
- Responsible for verifying accuracy of incoming materials, parts, or products
- Open, sort and place materials according to predetermined sequences
- Transfers defective materials in a timely manner
- Reports product damage and quantity discrepancies
- General warehouse duties
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOP's)
- Maintain safe work environment by keeping area free from safety hazards
- Assist in preparing, scanning & labeling for Customer Orders
- Assist with moving materials and items from, between and to receiving, storage, production, shipping or other designated areas
- Maintain 5S cleaning program
- Participate in cycle/physical counts
- Perform other duties according to business needs QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience & Skills)
- High School and minimum of 1 year of related work experience; or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
- Forklift Certification preferred
- Computer skills, and general freight & production software (i.e. MS Office, ERP)
- Basic to Intermediate Math, Reading Comprehension & Writing skills
