-------------------- ABOUT THE POSITION -------------------- Powder Coating Services, Inc. (PCSI) is seeking an experienced Shift Supervisor to lead day-to-day production activities. This hands-on leadership role coordinates employees, production, quality, equipment, safety, and material needs to help the shift meet customer and shipping requirements. ----------------- WHAT YOU'LL DO ----------------- - Lead powder coating operators, pre-treatment workers, and packaging staff during the shift. - Assign daily work and monitor production to support shipping goals. - Train new employees on equipment, work procedures, quality expectations, and safety rules. - Monitor line speed, cure oven temperatures, and part hanging to keep production running effectively. - Inspect finished parts for coating thickness, adhesion, and finish quality and help resolve coating defects. - Oversee routine equipment maintenance and report major failures. - Enforce safety requirements, PPE use, and safe chemical-handling practices. - Track key production supplies and help ensure materials are replenished before stock runs low. - Communicate production, staffing, quality, safety, and equipment concerns to management and document employee concerns when appropriate. ------------------------- WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR ------------------------- - 3-5 years of hands-on powder coating or industrial painting experience. - 1-2 years of leadership, team-lead, or lead-hand experience. - Strong knowledge of metal pre-treatment, powder application, and oven cure cycles. - Ability to troubleshoot powder guns and reclaim systems. - Ability to read production blueprints or work orders. - Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and employee leadership skills. - Bilingual is a plus. ----------------------------- PHYSICAL / WORK ENVIRONMENT ----------------------------- - Ability to stand for extended shifts and work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures. - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
