We are looking for an experienced shipper/receiver to join our team. In this role you will be dealing with the manufacturing and supply of license plates direct to motorists for the State of Indiana. The position of shipper/receiver requires attention to detail, organization, good time management, and flexibility.
This position will be the main contact for all shipping and receiving. The position oversees the flow of finished goods from production to packaging and loading delivery vehicles in accordance with customer specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Shipping, including assembling loads, processing bills of lading, utilizing packing slips, and preparing shipments according to customer specifications.
- Stacking pallets in the pattern specified by the customer, using shrink wrap and strapping as appropriate.
- Labeling outgoing pallets and shipments.
- Weighing pallets and recording weights in appropriate forms.
- Receiving, including obtaining packing slips to ensure listed items were received, noting defective/missing/damaged items, inspecting aluminum according to procedures
- Checking the status of needed supplies and the condition of equipment
- Flexibility in duties and adjusting to meet customer demands.
