About Us

At Plainfield Community School Corporation, we are dedicated to creating an inclusive, supportive learning environment where every student can find their voice and thrive. We believe communication is the foundation of academic and social success. We are looking for a passionate, collaborative, and student-centered Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our multidisciplinary team. Whether you are an experienced therapist or a Clinical Fellow (CFY) looking for a supportive environment to launch your career, we welcome your expertise and dedication.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will work directly with students from Kindergarten - 8th grade, to evaluate, diagnose, and treat a variety of speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.

Assessment & Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations to determine eligibility for services, using standardized tools and informal observations.
IEP Development: Design, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) with measurable, data-driven goals tailored to each student's unique needs.
Direct Therapy: Provide high-quality, engaging individual and group therapy sessions that align with curriculum standards and support academic growth.
Collaboration: Partner closely with teachers, parents, psychologists, and administrators to integrate communication strategies into the classroom and home environments.
Documentation: Maintain accurate, compliant, and timely records of student progress, evaluation reports, and service logs in accordance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education: Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited program.
Licensure: Valid Indiana licensure (or eligibility to obtain) as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred, but Clinical Fellows (CFY) are encouraged to apply.
Skills: Strong clinical reasoning, excellent written and verbal communication, and a genuine passion for working with a diverse population.

What We Offer

Competitive salary based on experience and education level.
Comprehensive benefits package (Medical, Dental, Vision, and Retirement options).
Paid time off coinciding with the school calendar (holidays, school breaks, and summers off!).
Dedicated budget for therapy materials, assessment tools, and Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
Strong peer mentorship and a collaborative, welcoming school culture.
