FRONTEND SOFTWARE ENGINEERING
Pi.Security · San Francisco, CA · Full-time · Onsite, 5 days a week
ABOUT PI.SECURITY
Pi is building an agentic product security platform for teams that need to secure software at the speed they build it.
Modern development is accelerating, but security knowledge is still scattered across code, tickets, documents, incidents, reviews, and the people who remember why decisions were made. Pi turns that context into institutional security memory, helping teams triage faster, remediate in context, prevent repeat vulnerability classes, and embed security guardrails where engineering work already happens. We are building for a future where security is not a blocker at the end of the development process. It is part of how software gets designed, reviewed, shipped, and improved.
Pi was recognized on Fast Company's 2026 Next Big Things in Tech https://www.fastcompany.com/next-big-things-in-tech/list list and covered by Forbes https://www.forbes.com/sites/thomasbrewster/2026/06/10/elon-musk-favorite-hacker-launches-100-million-ai-cyber-startup/!
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Frontend Software Engineer with 5 or more years of experience building modern, high-quality web applications. This role requires working in person at our San Francisco office five days per week.
You will help build the product experience for Pi’s agentic security platform, turning complex security workflows into fast, intuitive, and trustworthy interfaces. You will work closely with product, design, backend engineering, and security experts to build the surfaces engineers and security teams use to understand risk, investigate findings, review context, and take action.
This role is ideal for someone who cares deeply about product quality, frontend craft, interaction design, and building polished interfaces for complex technical products.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build and maintain production-grade frontend features using TypeScript, React, and Next.js.
- Create fast, responsive, accessible, and polished user experiences for complex security and developer workflows.
- Build product surfaces for findings, investigations, remediation workflows, dashboards, forms, tables, filters, and detail views.
- Use React Server Components and modern app routing patterns to deliver performant, maintainable product experiences.
- Develop reusable UI patterns using design tokens, design systems, and accessible component primitives.
- Integrate frontend experiences with type-safe client/server data access patterns and modern query management.
- Manage UI, application, and URL state in a clean, predictable, and maintainable way.
- Build robust forms and validation flows for high-trust product interactions.
- Create complex tables and data-heavy views that remain usable, performant, and easy to reason about.
- Use component development, visual regression, and frontend testing tools to improve quality and consistency.
- Partner with product and design to turn ambiguous customer needs into simple, effective workflows.
- Participate in code reviews and help raise the quality bar for frontend architecture, testing, accessibility, and maintainability.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 5 or more years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong focus on frontend development.
- Strong proficiency with TypeScript, React, and modern frontend architecture.
- Experience building applications with Next.js or similar full-stack React frameworks.
- Comfort working with server-rendered, client-rendered, and hybrid application patterns.
- Familiarity with design systems, reusable component patterns, and accessible UI primitives.
- Experience with modern data-fetching, query management, and type-safe API patterns.
- Strong understanding of forms, validation, routing, and URL-driven state.
- Experience building complex tables, dashboards, workflows, or other data-heavy user interfaces.
- Experience writing frontend tests across unit, component, integration, and end-to-end levels.
- Strong debugging skills and attention to product detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-moving startup environment with ownership, autonomy, and good judgment.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience building security, developer tools, infrastructure, or data-heavy enterprise products.
- Experience with type-safe API frameworks.
- Experience with component-driven development and visual regression testing.
- Consistent history of delivering complex UI projects for a SaaS product.
- Experience in fast-paced high growth startups.

WHY PI
Pi is backed by a $35 million Series A led by Third Point Ventures and Brightmind Partners, with support from CrowdStrike CEO George Kurtz and Armis founders Yevgeny Dibrov and Nadir Izrael. Leading AI companies and enterprise innovators already rely on Pi, including xAI, Notion, Navan, Lemonade, and Teramind, and it's available through AWS Marketplace and a strategic partnership with Bugcrowd.
Our founders have lived inside this problem. Guy Arazi was a security researcher at Microsoft, and Yoni Ramon led offensive security work at Tesla. You'll work closely with both.
We're early enough that every hire shapes the product, the team, and how we work. You'll build alongside a humble, passionate, ambitious, and genuinely fun team that cares deeply about what we're building and about our customers.
We hire for four things, and we work this way every day:
- Speed. Velocity over polish. Something impactful this week beats a perfect plan for next quarter.
- Depth. You go past the point of requirement. That is usually where the interesting part starts anyway.
- Curiosity. The people who do best here ask the thing everyone assumed was already answered.
- Ambition. We take on assumptions this industry accepts as given, and disprove them.
