SUMMARY: The employee transports program consumers to residences and employment sites as scheduled.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Transport individuals as scheduled.
- Assist individuals getting in and out of handicap accessible van or other vehicle.
- Operate assigned vehicle in keeping with all safety policies.
- Perform regular routine inspections of assigned vehicle.
- Inform supervisor when assigned vehicle is in need of service.
- Maintain cleanliness of assigned vehicle.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Participate in all staff meetings and required training sessions, including in-service training, as scheduled.
- Maintain all Program and Agency trainings
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A drug test is required upon hire and random drug testing thereafter.
- Ability to safely operate vehicles including maintaining valid driver’s license and clear driving record.
- Ability to assist individuals getting in and out of handicap accessible or other vehicles.
- Ability to work with both developmentally disabled and non-disabled people.
- Ability to follow directions.
- A qualifying criminal background check, driving record and the ability to maintain valid 7D driver’s license is required.
