To Grind and Sand welded parts to company standards and specifications. This position is for second shift, 1:30 pm - 10:00 pm.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
· High school diploma or general educational development (GED)
Experience:
· 1-year related experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Skills:
· To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or abilities required
ESSENTIAL RESULTS:
· Select grade of abrasive belt, wheel, sand rolls or disk, according to specifications, knowledge of abrasives, and condition of metal, and attaches to various grinding and polishing tools.
· Must be able to operate, but not limited to, the following tools: large angle grinders, small angle grinders, belt sanders, die grinders, orbital sanders, drum sanders and hand files.
· Visually and physically, inspect parts for any dents, scratches and rust that needs to be removed.
· Using tools on surface of work piece to remove scratches, tool marks, excess weld material, sharp edges and burrs
· Perform general clean-up duties of the equipment and surrounding areas.
· May perform basic material handling duties with the use of manual pallet jack and/or forklift to move material and stage materials.
· Adhere to all Peerless and OSHA safety related work rules and procedures.
· Other duties as assigned or required.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
· Must be able to work overtime, including weekends as needed.
· Must be physically capable of standing/bending/stooping/squeezing 8+ hour shift(s)
· Must be able to lift, carry and/or move up to 30 pounds on a given day, without assistance. Anything above 30 lbs. will be a team lift.
· Must have the ability to push, pull material and equipment as needed.
· Must be able to wear required safety equipment including gloves, glasses and respirators.
