- Keep quality high. Monitor the quality and quantity of each operator’s work, make sure job tickets, QC checks, and production documentation are completed accurately, and work with Print QA to resolve issues.
- Keep equipment running. Make sure operator-level maintenance is completed and coordinate with Mechanics on repairs and downtime.
- Manage materials. Direct Material Handlers so the correct paper stock, rolls, and supplies are staged at each machine and in WIP.
- Develop your team. Train operators, reinforce Standard Work, recommend employees for cross-training and advancement, and recommend additional training when needed.
- Lead people. Direct the work of operators and Material Handlers on your shift, handle conflicts professionally and within PCI guidelines, and report policy violations as outlined in the PCI Employee Handbook.
- Support staffing decisions. Take part in performance evaluations with management and make recommendations on hiring and termination.
- Communicate early. Let management know right away when a mail date or deadline may be missed.
- Protect client data and your team. Follow all security, compliance, and HIPAA requirements for confidential client materials, and keep the work area safe, organized, and OSHA-compliant.
- Set the example. Maintain good attendance and work beyond scheduled hours when production requires it.
What We’re Looking For
