Paved Assets is a commercial paving contractor serving commercial, municipal and state clients across North Carolina. We do new paving, repaving, sealcoating and striping. We pay for the equipment you can run, state pay up front, and invest in training and leadership so good operators can move up.
As an Equipment Operator, you run rollers, skid steers and support equipment on our paving crews. When you are not in the seat, you work alongside the crew to get the job done right.
Duties
Operate steel-drum and rubber-tire rollers to compact asphalt to spec
Operate skid steers (including milling and sweeper attachments), loaders and other support equipment
Load, secure and unload equipment on trailers
Do daily walk-arounds, greasing and basic maintenance; report problems early
Help set up traffic control and keep the work zone safe
Assist the crew with raking, shoveling, patching and cleanup as needed
Requirements
1+ year operating construction or paving equipment
Solid safety habits; follows site and traffic control rules
Reliable and on time, including early starts
Able to work outdoors in heat and cold and lift up to 50 lbs
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to the yard
CDL is a plus.
