Exterior Carpenter

About the Opportunity
Paragon Construction Company is looking for an experienced Exterior Carpenter to join its Outdoor Division in Midlothian, Virginia.
This position involves residential remodeling and outdoor living projects, including decks, porches, framing, windows, doors, exterior trim, additions, and other exterior improvements.
We are looking for a skilled carpenter with at least 3 years of professional carpentry or construction experience who can work independently, contribute to a team, and consistently deliver quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
- Build and install decks, screened porches, covered porches, and other outdoor living spaces.
- Perform residential framing and structural carpentry work.
- Install windows, exterior doors, trim, and other exterior components.
- Complete additions and residential remodeling projects.
- Read and interpret construction plans and measurements.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install materials accurately.
- Identify and resolve jobsite challenges while maintaining quality standards.
- Follow construction plans, safety procedures, and project specifications.
- Maintain an organized and professional work environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and demonstrate respect for customers and their properties.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of professional carpentry or construction experience.
- Strong residential framing and general carpentry skills.
- Experience with decks, porches, exterior trim, windows, doors, or similar remodeling projects.
- Ability to read construction plans and take accurate measurements.
- Practical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Reliable, professional, and safety-conscious work habits.
- Commitment to quality workmanship and customer service.
Compensation and Benefits
