Work Schedule and Shift Requirements
6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday (eight-hour shift) • Must be willing and able to work overtime as needed • Emergency work may be required at any time, including nights, weekends, and holidays • Must participate in a two-week, 24-hour on-call rotation
Job Description
Paducah Water operates a Class IVA municipal water treatment plant in Paducah, Kentucky, and is currently accepting applications for the full-time Control Systems Technician position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair electrical and electronic equipment for the water treatment plant, booster stations, and water storage facilities. Assist with other facility and equipment installations and repairs as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Valid driver's license.
Specialized Technical Degree in Instrumentation, Industrial Electricity, or Industrial Maintenance.
Ability to understand ladder logic, Ethernet communications, and IP addresses.
Basic understanding of 4–20 mA DC signals and interfacing with PLC controls.
Must be able to obtain a Kentucky Class IVA Water Treatment License upon eligibility.
Must obtain a Master Electrician License upon eligibility.
Physical and Work Requirements:
Must participate in a random drug testing program.
Ability to bend, lift, and carry up to 100 pounds.
Ability to work in varying weather conditions, including heat and cold.
Ability to work safely in environments with potential electrical, chemical, and mechanical hazards.
Ability to climb and work at heights of up to 200 feet.
Pay Information:
Entry Level (without licenses): $36.73/hour (90% of full rate).
Full Scale (with licenses): $40.81/hour (100% of full rate).
