Summary:
We are seeking a full-time 5th Grade Teacher to join our team at Blairsville Elementary. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong desire to make a positive impact on the lives of their students. The 5th Grade Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons to their students, while also fostering a safe and supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons that meet the needs of all students
- Use a variety of teaching methods to keep students engaged and motivated
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
- Create a safe and supportive classroom environment that promotes learning and positive behavior
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and behavior
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to ensure a cohesive and effective educational experience for all students
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date on the latest teaching methods and techniques
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
- Valid teaching certification
- Experience teaching 5th grade or similar age group preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create and maintain a safe and supportive learning environment
