Position Summary:
Outlook Strict Discipline Academy is seeking dedicated and caring Substitute Teachers to join our team. Substitutes play a vital role in supporting our students and maintaining a consistent, positive learning environment when regular teachers are absent. We’re looking for individuals who are dependable, enthusiastic, and passionate about helping students succeed - especially those who benefit from structure, encouragement, and understanding. Candidates must have completed at least 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university with a minimum 2.0 GPA, or hold a valid or expired Michigan Teaching Certificate. Fingerprinting and a background check are required prior to placement. Ideal candidates will have experience working with middle or high school students and may have training or experience supporting at-risk youth or students with behavioral or emotional challenges. Strong communication skills, patience, and a calm, steady presence are essential qualities for success in this role.
This is a temporary, on-call position located at Outlook Academy. The substitute teacher rate is $120 per full day or $60 for a half-day assignment.
