Overview
Orrick currently has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Analyst, Workforce Analytics in the New York Office.
The role: The Senior Analyst, Workforce Analytics provides reporting, data management, visualization, and analytical support across the Firm’s HR programs and technology environment. Success in the role will mean maintaining a reliable and well-controlled workforce reporting function while helping the Firm improve how workforce information is analyzed, reported, and used. The Senior Analyst will combine strong technical skills with sound judgment, practical problem-solving, and the ability to turn complex workforce data into a clear and compelling story.

- Analyze workforce data across areas such as headcount, recruiting, turnover, mobility, leave, workforce composition, learning, performance, employee relations, immigration, compensation, and inclusion.
- Interpret data to identify trends, patterns, risks, and underlying drivers, and translate findings into clear insights, recommendations, and a compelling story for HR and Firm leadership.
- Prepare clear, executive-ready reports, presentations, and analyses, including materials for senior leadership and the Board as appropriate.
- Review and rationalize the Firm’s reporting portfolio, identifying opportunities to consolidate, automate, redesign, convert to dashboards, or retire reports.

- Establish consistent reporting standards, metric definitions, data ownership, validation controls, and documentation.
- Partner with HR, Risk Management, Finance, IT, and other Firm functions on reporting needs, HR technology implementations, system upgrades, integrations, and data conversions.
- Advise report users and stakeholders on data definitions, appropriate use, confidentiality, and available reporting solutions.
- Evaluate and leverage emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, automation, and advanced analytics capabilities, to improve workforce reporting, data quality, user self-service, and insight generation.
