Position Overview
Orders Construction Company is seeking a motivated and dependable Civil Construction Intern to join our team. This position provides hands-on experience in the civil construction industry, allowing individuals to gain valuable knowledge of field operations, project management, safety procedures, and construction practices.
The ideal candidate is eager to learn, has a strong work ethic, and is interested in pursuing a career in civil construction.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist project managers, superintendents, and field personnel with daily construction activities.
• Gain practical experience in site preparation, excavation, grading, concrete work, and utility construction.
• Assist with project documentation, daily reports, and material tracking.
• Observe and participate in jobsite safety practices and procedures.
• Learn to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Support project scheduling, estimating, and quality control activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support project operations.
Qualifications
• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Technology, or related program preferred.
• Strong willingness to learn and develop construction industry skills.
• Good communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work in both office and outdoor construction environments.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work effectively as part of a team.
