Pack It. Protect It. As a Custom Packer II, you're more than someone who puts products into boxes. You're the final line of defense between our craftsmanship and the customer's doorstep.
Here's how you'll make an impact:
📦 Be the Packaging Problem-Solver
- Determine the best packaging solution for each custom-manufactured product.
- Design, measure, and build custom-sized cardboard boxes and wooden crates.
- Assemble, line, and pad packaging using hand tools to protect products during shipment.
- Set up and operate cardboard cutting equipment.
- Use basic woodworking tools, including saws and nail guns, to construct protective crates.
📏 Make Precision Your Signature
- Measure, weigh, and count products and materials accurately.
- Read tape measures, convert fractions to decimals, and apply measurement skills to custom packaging.
- Read and interpret customer orders and packing instructions.
- Inspect products, packaging materials, and finished containers to ensure specifications are met.
- Identify and remove defective or completed products and materials as appropriate.
🚚 Get It Shipment-Ready
- Pack products according to specific instructions and customer requirements.
- Mark, seal, and label boxes, crates, and containers accurately.
- Load materials and products into packaging equipment.
- Record product, order, and packaging information using required forms and systems.
- Use computer equipment to complete and close out work orders.
🤝 Keep the Team Moving
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe workspace.
- Monitor inventory levels and order packaging supplies when needed.
- Help train new packing team members when assigned.
- Meet and exceed production and quality goals.
- Communicate effectively with teammates and supervisors.
- Take on additional responsibilities as production needs require.

- Previous packing, shipping, manufacturing, or similar experience.

- Experience helping train coworkers.

- Communicate effectively through speaking and hearing.

Manufacturing Environment
- Exposure to moving mechanical equipment, vibration, fumes, and airborne particles.
- Varying temperatures due to open doors and garage areas.
- A fast-paced production environment where safety, accuracy, and teamwork are essential.
