Previously known us as Dr. Day Care, we’re proud to introduce our new name: NurturEd Early Learning Center. Back in 1972, our Founder Dr. Mary Ann Shallcross Smith started a small day care business in her home to care for her infant son and to help meet a growing need within our community. As we’ve grown, so has our mission.
Today, we offer more than care. We provide education, enrichment, and meaningful learning experiences that help children thrive - both inside and outside the classroom. This growth has led us to bring programs together under one unified vision: EdCentral. Education is our priority. NurturEd, EnhancEd, and EnrichEd are our full family of services. While our names and logos are evolving, our commitment remains unchanged: to provide a safe, engaging, and supportive environment - with a continued focus on education for children, teachers, families, and one another.
NurturEd will continue to be our nationally accredited full day programs for infants through school age.
