We are seeking experienced and dedicated leaders to fill our Manager on Duty position for our HomeTowne Suites locations in the Denver, CO area: HomeTowne Studios Denver - Airport/Aurora: 63705 Chambers Rd, Aurora, CO 80011 HomeTowne Studios Denver - Thornton: 8750 Grant St, Thornton, CO 80229 As the Manager on Duty, you will serve as an apprentice to the General Manager, and operate as a second in command. The MOD supervises the property when the GM is not present, ensuring the work environment remains positive and productive. Duties
- Deliver great service and maintain quality scores
- Lead, motivate, and supervise team members, including training new staff and providing ongoing development opportunities
- Work the front desk, checking in guests
- Handle cash transactions
- Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and control food costs through proper inventory management
- Ensure compliance with health, safety standards across all areas of the hotel
- Address customer concerns promptly to resolve issues and enhance guest satisfaction
- Conduct property audits and inspections to maintain standards
- Assist with shift scheduling, staffing levels, and labor cost management in line with budget goals
Experience
- Proficient computer use
- Knowledge of front desk PMS system: HotelKey is a plus
- Ability to edit and work with PDF documents
- Working knowledge of Outlook email
- Accurate typing and data entry skills
- Comfortable using an iPad and similar devices
- Strong ability to navigate the internet, including websites and online platforms
- Ability to place on line orders independently and without issues
- Experience in inventory control
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train & develop staff effectively
- Prior experience managing shifts in a hotel
