This position performs a variety of basic custodial and maintenance activities, and/or year-round groundskeeping and basic utility/maintenance tasks. - Performs a variety of cleaning activities which may include: vacuuming, shampooing, and hand cleaning carpets and rugs; picking up trash and litter from grounds, in buildings, and on buses; and, performing other related activities. - Monitors associated supplies/inventory and notifies appropriate individual(s) when stock levels reach specified levels. - Operates and maintains a variety of cleaning equipment and tools. - Observe campus buildings and properties and communicate problems or situations which need attention to the appropriate individual(s). - Open or lock/secure doors at scheduled times or as requested. - Performs a variety of manual labor activities, which may include: gathering materials and equipment; placing materials in proper locations; moving furniture and equipment; assembling furniture; removing snow and ice from walkways; setting up and tearing down items for campus meetings and events; and, performing other related activities. - Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
