Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Push and pull carts, bins, ladders, and equipment, and safely climb ladders up to 6 ft. while maintaining balance. Primary duties (performed the majority of workdays): Workers will perform a variety of duties associated with the production of peaches and apples. Primary duties include adjusting crop load on peach and apple trees by hand thinning to ensure proper fruit size and quality; harvesting peaches and apples by hand using appropriate tools and techniques to prevent damage to fruit and trees; sorting, grading, and packaging harvested fruit according to size, quality, and market standards; pruning peach and apple trees using hand tools and equipment to maintain tree health, structure, and productivity; operating farm equipment and machinery used in planting, cultivating, harvesting, pruning, and transporting crops; handling and transporting harvested fruit to designated packing or storage areas; and following all food safety and quality control guidelines during harvesting and packing operations.
