The system uses a superconducting linac instead of a nuclear reactor which is simpler to operate and less costly to license. It also eliminates the need for a nuclear reactor and weapons grade uranium (HEU). Isotope production and distribution utilize existing radiopharmaceutical supply chain and FDA approval processes.
