The thriving, young community of Nibley City is looking for a dependable, self-motivated, detail-oriented Recreation Aides to help build a Happy, Healthy, Connected Community. Depending on availability, experience and department needs, Aides will receive an hourly wage of $7.25 - $11.25/hr DOQ. Recreation Aides with experience may also be eligible for other Part-Time positions as they become available. This is an entry level position with on-the-job training.
**WHAT YOU'LL DO__________ **
- Distribute flyers, posters, signs, and other promotional materials throughout the community.
- Assist with printing, copying, assembling, and preparing promotional materials.
- Assist with vinyl and corrugated sign projects.
- Inventory, organize, prepare, load, and distribute program and event equipment and supplies.
- Help prepare and launch recreation programs, activities, and sports seasons.
- Assist with community events, including setup, support, and cleanup.
- Help mark and prepare athletic fields.
- Help prepare materials, equipment, and spaces for coach and volunteer meetings.
- Help keep Recreation equipment, supplies, and storage areas organized.
- Help with whatever is needed to support the department in creating meaningful events and programs.
**DURATION, SCHEDULE & EXPECTATIONS **
(Flexible and negotiable based on the employee's schedule
- 2--5 hours per week minimum, 10 hours maximum, (hours will vary week to week) with additional hours potentially available during select program launches, and major community events.
- Flexible commitments are available for several months of work throughout the year, to several years based on department needs for program and event support.
- Some evening availability may be needed for coach meetings, volunteer meetings, programs, or special events
- Flexible Schedule, Holidays OFF, Weekends OFF (except for occasional special event support)
**LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO: **
- Is at least 17 years old.
- Is dependable, willing to learn, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Enjoys a mix of indoor and outdoor, hands-on work and is comfortable interacting with the public.
- Is willing to work outside in varying weather conditions.
- Can safely lift, carry, load, and move up to 50 lbs.
- Has a valid driver's license and clean driving record and can successfully pass a background check.
**EXPERIENCE THAT'S A PLUS **
Experience with: inventory management, copy center work including, vinyl banners, corrugated signs, community events, recreation programs, youth sports, athletic field marking are helpful---but are NOT required.
