Work closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and other team members throughout the perioperative process. Responsibilities Assess patients before surgery and verify required documentation, consent, allergies, and procedure details. Prepare the operating room, equipment, and supplies for scheduled procedures. Provide intraoperative nursing care while maintaining sterile technique and patient safety. Participate in surgical time-outs, instrument and sponge counts, specimen handling, and safe patient positioning. Monitor and document patient care, medications, and interventions. Communicate patient needs and changes in condition to the surgical team. Coordinate safe handoffs to recovery staff. Participate in the assigned on-call rotation. Requirements Active Wisconsin RN license or valid multistate RN license authorizing practice in Wisconsin. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, including Operating Room nursing. Current BLS and ACLS certifications. Ability to complete facility-required clinical assessments, skills checklists, and Epic testing. Two professional references.
