Job Description
The Manager, Strategic Enablement is a member of the Platform Distribution & Partnerships (PD&P) Partner Operations team. This role leads cross-functional projects and programs that translate distribution deals and strategic initiatives, deal terms, partner commitments, and business requirements into clear execution plans. The Manager also owns and continuously improves the department’s portfolio tools and workflows in Smartsheet and JIRA, creating reliable visibility into priorities, milestones, dependencies, risks, decisions, and delivery health. We're not looking for someone to simply collect updates but rather someone who can drive teams to collaborate on solutions, connect dots and bring teams together to deliver outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead multiple cross-functional programs and projects from intake and requirements definition through execution, launch, transition, and closeout.
- Execute distribution deal terms, partner requests, business decisions, structured requirements through creation and ownership of project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, and execution handoffs.
- Own and administer the Strategic Enablement portfolio environment in Smartsheet and JIRA, including intake workflows, project structures, dashboards, reporting views, templates, status fields, permissions, and data standards.
- Design and improve workflows that connect deal-cycle inputs to execution, including requirements capture, prioritization, change control, escalation, status reporting, and closure criteria.
- Partner cross-functionally with Business Development, Legal, Product, Technology, Partner Operations, Distribution Solutions, Data, Advertising, Finance, and other stakeholders to align requirements, ownership, timing, and delivery expectations.
- Create integrated project plans and roadmaps that connect contractual commitments, product and technology delivery, operational readiness, partner dependencies, and commercialization activities.
- Run portfolio operating rhythms, including intake reviews, project health reviews, cross-functional status meetings, leadership updates, and decision forums; prepare agendas, facilitate discussion, document decisions, and drive follow-through.
- Maintain accurate portfolio-level visibility across active initiatives, including milestones, risks, blockers, resource constraints, decision needs, and upcoming commitments.
- Produce concise, executive-ready dashboards, portfolio summaries, steering committee materials, project updates, and decision documents that make complex work easy to understand and act on.
- Identify delivery risks and process gaps early, facilitate mitigation plans, and escalate decisions with clear options, impacts, and recommendations.
- Build scalable templates, playbooks, standard operating procedures, and reusable program frameworks that improve consistency across deals and reduce manual or duplicative work.
- Support broader department priorities, including portfolio planning, operating-model improvements, tool adoption, process transformation, and special projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, program or project management, media, technology, operations, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of experience in program management, project management, business operations, strategic enablement, transformation, media distribution, digital products, or a related field.
- Demonstrated success leading multiple complex, cross-functional initiatives with evolving requirements and senior stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience building, administering, and improving portfolio solutions with project management and data visualization tools.
- Strong command of project and portfolio management practices, including intake, prioritization, planning, dependency management, risk and issue management, change control, governance, and executive reporting.
- Excellent written, verbal, facilitation, and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex information for leadership and delivery teams.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across business, legal, product, technology, operations, and partner-facing organizations.
- Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft 365 collaboration tools, including Copilot.; PMP, Certified ScrumMaster, or Smartsheet certification is a plus.
Desired Qualifications
- Business-first operator who can connect commercial intent to practical product, technology, and operational execution.
- Proactive portfolio owner who improves tools and processes rather than simply maintaining them.
- Clear, concise communicator who can move comfortably between executive narratives and detailed project artifacts.
- Collaborative leader who creates accountability, transparency, and alignment without adding unnecessary process burden.
- Comfortable challenging unclear assumptions, surfacing trade-offs, and guiding teams toward decisions.
- Strong problem-solver who thrives in complexity.
- High attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to create structure and momentum in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
- Knowledge of media and entertainment distribution, streaming, TVE, dMVPD, FAST, SVOD, advertising, measurement, or digital product operations.
