Good care starts with having the right people on the floor. As our Staffing Scheduler, you keep the nursing schedule running at Mount Joseph, a skilled nursing and assisted living community in Waterville. You’ll work closely with our Director of Nursing and nurse leaders to build schedules, fill open shifts, and make sure every unit is covered so residents get the care they deserve. If you’re organized, steady when the phone won’t stop ringing, and the kind of person who enjoys solving a puzzle when three call-outs land at once, we’d like to meet you.

- Build and maintain schedules for nurses and CNAs using OnShift, keeping coverage in line with state and federal staffing requirements
- Fill open shifts and call-outs by reaching out to staff, tracking availability, and keeping the DON in the loop
- Post schedules and daily staffing information on time
- Schedule and participate in CNA interviews
- Review schedules for accuracy, coverage gaps, and overtime, and flag concerns before they become problems
- Schedule newly hired nursing staff for orientation and their first shifts
- Keep the staff contact list current
- Answer phones, take messages, and handle filing and correspondence for the nursing department
- Protect resident and employee information and follow HIPAA and facility confidentiality policies
