Develop construction prints and engineering documentation for fiber network expansions and upgrades.
Coordinate the relocation of fiber and copper facilities to support roadway improvement projects and other utility relocations.
Evaluate existing telecommunications infrastructure and recommend improvements to optimize network performance and reliability.
Work closely with utility companies, contractors, municipalities, and permitting agencies to coordinate pole transfers, make-ready work, and project timelines.
Configure, install, test, and troubleshoot active network equipment and optical transport systems.
Perform field inspections to verify construction quality and ensure projects meet engineering specifications and industry standards.
Assist with network planning, capacity upgrades, and infrastructure expansion projects.
Maintain accurate project documentation, as-built drawings, and engineering records.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Telecommunications preferred; 3-5 years of relevant telecommunications engineering experience will be considered.
Experience designing fiber optic networks, outside plant (OSP), or telecommunications infrastructure.
Proficiency with CAD software and interpreting engineering drawings, construction prints, and technical documentation.
Working knowledge of fiber optic construction practices, utility coordination, and telecommunications infrastructure.
Familiarity with routing, switching, optical transport equipment, or other active network technologies is preferred.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners.
