Meyers Pet Care

With three locations in Belvidere, IL, Roscoe, IL, and the Madison, WI area, Meyers provides full-service pet care and training for all breeds of dogs. Their groomers have earned numerous awards in competition.

Recognized as one of the top dog trainers in Illinois, Meyer’s Tails Up Farm is piloted by owner Kent Meyer, a third-generation dog breeder. Kent gained early knowledge from his grandmother Lorraine Meyer, esteemed breeder and AKC obedience judge.

For decades, Kent, Gwen and team members have trained with the renowned John Rogerson of England and the late Lee Mannix, a world-class canine behaviorist. With expertise in canine behavior and understanding how dogs think, Kent has consulted with thousands of dog owners to help them train and improve their relationships.

The Meyers have earned countless show championships, Best of Breed, and Best of Group competitions at Westminster Kennel Club Dog Shows, AKC national competitions and others.

In addition to puppy and adult fundamentals and obedience, Meyers also offers adopted shelter dog training, K-9 Nose Work, Agility Competition, Show Conformation, Therapeutic Aquatics and Dock Diving, Puppy Socialization and a Doggy Daycare program perennially named the best in the region.
