Press Brake Operator
Metko, Inc. | New Holstein, WI Full-time | Second or Third Shift | $20–$27 per hour, based on experience
Turn flat metal into something you’re proud to make.
If you enjoy hands-on work, figuring out how things take shape, and getting the details right, press brake operation could be your next step.
At Metko, you’ll help turn sheet metal into accurately formed parts for custom metal and tank fabrication projects. It’s work that calls for mechanical ability, careful measurements, and pride in the finished product.
Metko is a third-generation, family-owned Wisconsin manufacturer. We’re looking for dependable people who care about their work, enjoy learning, and treat their teammates with respect.
The opportunity
We have full-time Press Brake Operator openings on second and third shift in New Holstein.
Whether you already have press brake experience or bring experience with other manufacturing equipment, we welcome your application. We can help mechanically inclined candidates develop the skills needed to operate our equipment and produce quality parts.

Available schedules:
- Second shift: Monday–Friday, 2:30 p.m.–10:30 p.m.
- Third shift: Sunday evening–Friday morning, 10:30 p.m.–6:30 a.m.
These are separate shift openings. Please indicate which shift interests you when applying. Initial training may temporarily take place on first shift.
What you’ll do
- Operate press brake equipment to bend and form sheet-metal components.
- Set up equipment and prepare assigned jobs according to work orders, training, and established procedures.
- Read and follow manufacturing drawings, dimensions, and specifications.
- Position material and follow the required bending sequence to produce accurate parts.

- Keep your equipment and work area clean and organized.
- Follow established safety procedures and work cooperatively with teammates to meet quality and delivery expectations.
What will help you succeed
You like understanding how things work. You notice when something doesn’t look right, take time to check your measurements, and ask questions when you need clarification.
We’re looking for:
- Mechanical ability and an interest in hands-on manufacturing.
- Attention to detail and pride in producing accurate, consistent parts.
- Basic math skills, including working with fractions and measurements.
- The ability to visualize how a flat piece of metal becomes a formed part.
- Experience using tape measures, calipers, micrometers, or other measuring tools - or a willingness to learn.
- Blueprint-reading ability or an interest in developing that skill.
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn machine controls.
- Dependability, patience, problem-solving ability, and a cooperative attitude.
- A strong commitment to safe work practices.
Previous press brake experience is preferred, but not required. Experience operating other manufacturing equipment is also valuable. Sheet-metal and blueprint-reading skills can be developed on the job.
